Club History

London QKX Volleyball club was founded by Nick and Mae Appleton in 1992. Our name was adopted from where we were originally based, our first "sponsors" Quintin Kynaston school, Finchely Road London. We added the X because we were not a school team amd the London part speaks for itself.

The aim of the club at it's inception was to produce and develop young players to compete at international level. To aid us in achieving the goal we recruited experienced international players.

We started at the botttom of the National League and worked hard for 4 years to gain promotion to the premier division.

We were successfull in developing young players, 5 of which reached England South level, 4 of these going on to represent their country in the England Juniors, and 2 making the England Senior team.

Currently our focus has shifted from junior players and we now concentrating on our Senior team in the London Premier League
